GPOD of IDAHO---

"In September 2001 we replaced 2 Eliminators with 2 Agrasizers. We were changing screens every 3 weeks at a cost of $350 to $400 per screen. We are now in our second season using the Agrasizer without additional costs. Not only does the cost factor of the metal screens show up, but also the amount of chipped and freshly bruised potatoes has reduced to almost 0%, whereas with the metal screen it was a constant problem, resulting in even more savings. We have also reduced the number of people picking undersize due to the Agrasizer. Maintenance has been minimal and we would strongly recommend anyone looking to replace their current system to take a look at the Agrasizer."

SUN RIVER OF IDAHO---

"In regard to the Agrasizer, I have not recieved as much benefit out of any piece of equipment that I have installed in Sun River of Idaho (formally Duffin Potato Company) as I have the Agrasizer. We installed the Agrasizer in the summer of 2000 to replace our screen sizer we had used since the orginization of DPC and which the majority of the packing facilities in Idaho use. For the last ten years watching our screen sizer or anyone else's screen or finger sizer made me cringe. All I can see when watching a screen or finger sizer is potatoes being bounced, bruised, pinched, and chipped. With a screen sizer there is also the constant battle of the screen either being to tight or to loose. When the screen was new we would have to add people to sort out the undersize, which would increase our labor cost. When the screen would stretch we would loose the #1's. Since trying to get all the #1's into our package is one of our top priorities at DPC we were forced to replace our screen every three to four weeks. Screens cost DPC seven to eight hundred dollars apeice. Also due to the chips a screen sizer produces in an eight hour shift it would cause additional clean up time.

In direct contrast to everything I just mentioned there is the Agrasizer. I now enjoy watching the potatoes at DPC flow across the Agrasizer absolutely causing no bruising or damage. At the end of the day there is no mess to cleanup underneath the Agrasizer, which is the proof that the sizer was not bruising and chipping potatoes all day. The sizing is as consistant and accurate as you can get from a mechanical sizer. DPC has also enjoyed having to spend virtually no money maintaining the Agrasizer. Ultimately the Agrasizer is far superior to screen or finger sizers, a packing shed cannot afford not to have one."
